Gathering Inspiration: Part I
The conversation continues from one collection to the next. My story - our story - what we see and feel is what guides us to create.
Designing the next collection is often triggered by one very, very, very particular moment. For this collection, that moment was seeing a young man on the subway; he must have been 8 or 9. A young skateboarder. He was wearing a T-shirt with a long-sleeved T-shirt underneath. It was so simple and so classic — a white short sleeve shirt with a navy long sleeve shirt and jeans. Perfect. Jeans and a T-shirt have always been our favorite inspiration because it’s probably what you’re wearing right now. It’s a universal look that is so classically American.
