We shot the collection with Chloe on Monday but won’t be releasing the images until the review appears on Vogue.com next week. We shared the inspiration behind this collection a few weeks ago—you can read about it here. But now, after receiving and styling the pieces, we have a few more thoughts…..
I’m surprised at how good it looks. For some reason, I expected it to look and feel more simple. I was actually worried that it would look too “basic” (we should do a post on that word—basic). It didn’t seem kooky enough to align with what we usually do.
And surprise, surprise (though not to Daniel), I was very happy with how it all turned out. The whole collection just looks so elegant. It’s absolutely perfect for what we’re doing this season: glamorous travelers, always on the move with a Rimowa in hand. I think the cover photo above really captures it all.
What’s interesting is how precise it is— perhaps too precise. We shot every look just like the sketches: 15 sketches, 15 looks, each styled precisely as I depicted in the sketch. I’ve never done that before.
Actually, now that I think about it, the collection reads more like a performance art piece—designed specifically for peacocking at Nammos Mykonos, where, hopefully, it will be sold next year.

For me, the collection has a real softness—both in fabrication and silhouette, which feels like our response, or perhaps antidote, to a world on fire.
Each look is composed entirely of the same fabric—the trousers, shirt, dress, and jackets—all made from the same material. Yet, when worn together, the look carries a fierce quality while maintaining a sense of softness and lightness.
Every piece is one of one. We didn’t produce any extras—just the 36 pieces. Once they’re sold, they’re gone….. and we’ve already sold a few pieces to some eager customers before the official launch.
XOXOXO
